East Coast Trip 2024 - August 31
August 31: We have been gone 91 days and we have covered thousands of miles. Our fur babies have adjusted amazingly well despite the close quarters. Lucky has found new places to sleep for hours and the dogs just like around like dogs do. Today was another long travel day - Greensboro, NC to Augusta, GA. We drove through SC but stopped for fuel. The roads were good in NC but not so much in SC and into GA. We are staying at Heritage RV Park which is near Fort Eisenhower, formerly Fort Gordon, where Alan was trained in Radio Teletype, the job he held in the Army. We located a Discount Tire and as soon as we "landed" I went to get the Jeep tires balanced, on a "walk in" basis. I made a stop at Target for a few items, picked up pizza for dinner and before we knew it, it was 7:30 pm. Where did the day go.
